    Superb

Friendly staff, spotless room, comfy bed, plenty of soft pillows, character building, fresh breakfast, location to city centre

We had a room facing onto the street which was very very noisy at night (we stayed fri, sat, sun) from the nightclub below the hotel opposite and the people outside the nightclub - lots of shouting & general noise, thumping loud music every night until 4am. We had taken earplugs due to previous reviews but you could still here the noise even with these. I would recommend the hotel as long as you ask for a room at the back.

    Clean rooms, great location

VERY noisy during the night ( if you are unlucky to get a room with your windows facing the street)

The Albany House was a pleasant surprise. Based on the price I expected a lesser quality facility, and in a lesser part of Dublin. On arrival, we were greeted warmly, the room was ready and quite large and luxurious compared to other hotels at the same price we had previously visited. The breakfast was also better than average. The staff was very helpful and made our stay easier.

I was with my 20 year-old daughter in Albany House just for one night, and we were very pleased with our stay there. A friendly staff, a very comfortable room, good and impeccable beds. The room was warm and with plenty of space. The included breakfast was very good and variend with plenty of fruit, cheese, croissants etc.. I have already recommended it to my friends and I'll certainly go back there when back in Dublin. Mj from Prague

Since we went there late and just for one night we did not mind being in a room at the rear basement of the hotel. For a longe stay we would certainly need more light and a bit of a view.

I had expected more variety for breakfast

Great service, very friendly and the downstairs rooms are very quiet.

The location was good. The breakfast was yummy. The staff was courteous. The room was clean and comfortable.

Only a few channels on the television. I like to unwind with some mindless entertainment at night before I turn in. Also, I had trouble making local calls from my room. The staff said the phones were working, but I could never get a line out. Not a big deal to me, but it could be for others.

    Very good

Its such a good value hotel and the breakfast etc was lovely but way too noisy. There needs to be tripled glazed glass put on the front windows if thats where your bedroom is. I was awake till after 4am as there is a night club across and up the road from Albany House so loads of screaming and squad cars till very early in the morning. Also the Luas goes by a lot, so for that reason alone would not stay there as didn't get much sleep. But would recommend it to someone who should request a room at the back and is a heavy sleeper.

    Good

    Location was central

I slept on top floor which was long way up, noise from disco kept me awake , bathroom door wouldn't close properly and no bath only shower, breakfast adequate but nothing wonderful

Excellent location, very reasonably prized. Perfect spot for a weekend away in Dublin with friends.

We have stayed at the Albany on a number of occasions and like to return there because it is so well located and the staff are always very welcoming and helpful.

Clean and comfortable. Good value, good breakfast and excellent location.

No on-site parking, but cheap overnight parking within 5 minutes walk.

    Exceptional

Excellent accommodation and value. Courteous and helpful staff. Very central location for transport and access to shops, theatres, parks. Would certainly stay there again.

The layout of the building does tend to involve steps and stairs which may cause problems for some people. I'm not sure though that rooms other than the one we happened to be in may be more accessible but one would need to check with the hotel if it's a consideration.
